Sean Teed, CCP, BappB:ES, MEd(c)

Sean’s personal values statement is simply to “Put Care back in Career”.  With 20 plus years in paramedicine, Sean has come to value integrity, kindness and compassion.  The evolution of paramedicine is happening so fast that it is challenging to remain on top of all that is going on – however, caring for people and families in our communities remains at the root of this evolution – and also Sean’s motivation to continue the paramedic evolution.

Sean has a diverse experiential background including working as a critical care flight paramedic on fixed wing, rotor wing and critical care land transport machines.  As the deputy chief of a rural paramedic service, he managed quality assurance and education and he also coordinated education for a paramedic regulatory body in Eastern Ontario. After returning to Nova Scotia in 2016, he worked both as a critical care paramedic in the QEII emergency department and as a skills educator for Dalhousie University.  In March of 2021, Sean completed a three-year term with the College of Paramedics Nova Scotia as an elected council member.  Sean is a licensed critical care paramedic with the College of Paramedics Nova Scotia, and a recipient of the Governor General Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Award.

Sean has gained an interest in education, research and paramedic specialists and is keen to maintain many national and international connections as he currently works to complete his Master of Education at ST FX University (with a focus on Adult Education and Health).  Most recently, Sean’s work focused on supporting the work of the paramedic specialist working in the emergency department of Nova Scotia Health before moving to the RNPDC as faculty for the Critical Care Paramedic Program. Sean holds the rank of Nidan in karate and enjoys spending time with his family at their home along the south shores of Nova Scotia!
