Care of the Older Adult Continuing Education Module
The world’s senior population is growing at an unprecedented rate. Healthcare providers need to be prepared to care for older adults using evidence-based practices. In an effort to enhance the knowledge base of these providers, RNPDC is pleased to offer the Care of the Older Adult (COA) continuing education module. This module replaces the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) module.
In this self-directed, knowledge-based module, you will explore the specialized area of caring for individuals 65 years and older. It will help build your knowledge in three specific areas:
1. Fundamentals of Aging
The program allows you to study at your own pace while providing electronic access to all necessary materials. You will need basic computer skills and access to the Internet in order to complete the module. There are no other prerequisites.
You have six months to complete the module and take a final quiz. Those who complete the education module (40 hours of study) and the self-administered, open-book quiz will receive a certificate.
The COA module was developed for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and continuing care assistants working in a variety of settings including community practice, acute care, and long-term care. However, other interested healthcare providers may be able to register, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Costs: $75.00 Registration now available - Click here
Learners can start the module at any time. Once the registration fee is received, online access to materials will be provided. No refunds will be issued after online access to the materials is granted.
